Do piano apps really work?

Piano apps can be effective learning tools for both children and adults. They offer a fun and interactive way to learn the basics of piano playing, note reading, and finger exercises. Some apps provide instant feedback on your playing which can help improve your accuracy. Additionally, they are more affordable than hiring a tutor or buying a physical piano.

However, they do have limitations. For example, they can’t teach you proper hand positioning and technique as effectively as a teacher can. Also, the screen may not be the best surface for practicing due to its flatness and small keys.

So, while piano apps can be useful for beginning learners or for people looking to practice on the go, they are not a complete substitute for professional instruction or a physical piano.
