Recording vocals in a space with minimal reflections and acoustic treatment is ideal. A small, acoustically treated room, often referred to as a “vocal booth,” is the best place for recording vocals. These booths are typically lined with acoustic foam or other absorbent materials to reduce echo and background noise. If a vocal booth is not available, you can also minimize reflections by recording in a small, carpeted room or by using various forms of acoustic treatment to improve the sound quality of your recordings.
