Help On The Way Announce All-Star Grateful Dead Tribute Benefit for Los Angeles Fire Relief

Over the past week, the greater Los Angeles area has fought several surging wildfires that have scorched tens of thousands of acres, destroyed over 12,000 structures and imperiled the lives of countless people in and around evacuation zones. Among those affected by the blaze have been a great many artists and music professionals, on whose behalf the industry and wider community have come together to support through unbelievable loss. The latest of these endeavors comes from Help On The Way, a new star-studded Grateful Dead tribute ensemble, who have announced a benefit performance to respond to the present crisis.

Help On The Way features the tremendous talents of Eric Krasno, Ross James, Jason Hann, Grahame Lesh, Alex Koford and Adam MacDougall, who will pool their experience in such esteemed groups as Soulive, The String Cheese Incident, Circles Around The Sun and the Terrapin Family Band for a show at Highland Park, Calif.’s Lodge Room on Feb. 25. 100% of the proceeds from this supergroup set will be donated to recovery and rebuilding efforts for Altadena, Calif. and to support  those affected by the Eaton Fire. Beyond the jam dream team at the event’s core, the bill promises appearances from some “very special guests.”

“We are literally in the ashes of a dark time right now,” Krasno wrote in an announcement for the event. “It feels strange, surreal and hard to think about making music right now….. But ultimately it is what we do and we are determined to rise up and rebuild. 100% of proceeds from this show will go toward helping rebuild Altadena and help those affected by the Eaton Fire. Please join us, dance, sing and raise up the people that need it most right now ❤️✨”
