Over the weekend, folks gathered in Live Oak, Fla., for this year’s Suwannee Hulaween celebration. On Friday night, Oct. 27, The String Cheese Incident took part in an evening set, inviting Roosevelt Collier to partake during the first set, followed by members of Goose during the second frame. Later that night, the Trey Anastasio Band took the stage, nodding to The Story of the Ghost, with pulls off the album to mark its 25th anniversary.

String Cheese Incident’s Friday frame started with a helping of originals from across their extensive discography, leading to a cover of “Hot ‘Lanta” with help from fellow festival participant Collier. The guest artist stuck around for SCI follow-up, the title track off their third studio album Outside Inside. After a break from the stage, the billed performers returned, starting set two with help from members of Goose, sans Trevor Weekz, on the Goose original, “Animal,” followed by the Born on the Wrong Planet cut, “Texas,” which marked the end of their sit-ins.

To boot, during Goose’s late-night set, they revived “Animal,” stringing a connection between the sit-in with String Cheese Incident and their display. Also, during Friday’s gathering, TAB dug into a two-hour performance, which poked at Halloween themes. Besides the aforementioned connection to The Story of the Ghost, which resulted in run-throughs of “Ghost” and “The Moma Dance.” Also assisting with the night’s spooky theme was a “Wolfman’s Brother” play.
