Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey have announced a pair of homecoming shows, slated to take place at the LowDown in Tulsa, Okla., on March 1 and 2, 2024. The concerts will feature founding members Reed Mathis and Brian Haas, alongside Jason Smart. Notably, the performances will arrive 30 years after the band’s 1994 formation.

The newly dropped dates arrive after Mathis teased a reunion on Instagram. The bassist has been sharing photos and videos form Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey golden days, including a recent series of clips capturing the group’s 2002 New Year’s Eve gig in their hometown, specifically special instrumental moments and solos.

Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey turned out their Winterwood set in 2021. Previously unreleased, and presented as Mathis last with the group, the collection was recorded at Winterwood Recording Studio in 2008. The set aims to capture the group’s experimental peak amidst a time of turmoil amongst bandmembers, yet represents what the band is capable of.
