Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit Welcomes Kevn Kinney in Atlanta

Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit wrapped their four-night run at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, Ga. last night with support from Kevn Kinney during the encore. The Drivin’ n’ Cryin’ frontman took the stage following the band’s 17-song main set, lending vocals on “Honeysuckle Blue.” 

The track appeared on the 1989 studio album Mystery Road and was featured on Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit’s 2021 cover album, Georgia Blue, which benefited the nonprofit organizations Black Voters Matter, Fair Fight and Georgia STAND-UP. 

The evening featured a Reunion heavy setlist, highlighting the band’s 2020 material, including “Be Afraid,” “Dreamside,” “It Gets Easier,” “Only Children,” “Overseas,” “Running With Our Eyes Closed,” “St. Peter’s Autograph” and “What’ve I Done to Help.”

The concert concluded with a Kevn Kinney-led “Honeysuckle Blue” followed by Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit’s cover of The Allman Brothers Band’s “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.”
