A Korean firefighter has gone viral on YouTube for his creation of a fire safety video with a heavy metal theme.

As reported by the Korea Herald, Senior Firefighter Na Kyung-jin of Chungbuk Fire Service Headquarters is the mastermind behind the creative safety video on his YouTube channel, Sobanggwan Samchon – aka Uncle Firefighter when translated to the English – which saw him embrace his metal persona while informing viewers of fire safety tips.

The video sees a group of firefighters in the midst of a chat before one of them transforms into a metal firefighting hero complete with yellow hair, an orange jumpsuit – reminiscent of Slipknot’s iconic red jumpsuits – and black and white face paint.

The metal firefighter shocks his colleagues as he belts out his fire safety info about escaping residential structure fires over a heavy metal beat.

From there, a band appears as the metal firefighter continues with his song breaking down fire safety tips.

The video’s description shared that Na Kyung-jin created the video’s music with the help of an AI program. At the time of writing, the video has over 235,000 views.

According to The Korean Herald, Na had shared that he created the video as a way to destress from work. He also shared that he has felt a sense of accomplishment with the way he was able to get the fire safety messages out and the attention the video has gotten.

In other metal news, Knocked Loose and Poppy performed their collaborative single ‘Suffocate’ together on US TV last night (November 26).

The US hardcore punk band teamed up with the singer-songwriter on the track earlier this year. It appears on Knocked Loose’s third and latest album, ‘You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To’, which was released in May.
