La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de Rene Camacho Claims 16th No. 1 on Regional Mexican Airplay Chart

La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de Rene Camacho earns its 16th No. 1 on Billboard‘s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, as “Como Te Olvido” advances from the runner-up slot to lead the Dec. 11-dated survey.

With the move, La Arrolladora ties Banda MS, Conjunto Primavera and Intocable, all with 16 leaders, for the second-most No. 1s, trailing only Calibre 50 (20), dating to the chart’s inception in 1994. (Regional Mexican Airplay reflects the most-heard songs on the chart’s panel of monitored regional Mexican U.S. radio stations.)

“Como Te Olvido” leads with 8.1 million in audience impressions, up 3%, in the week ending Dec. 5, according to MRC Data. It concurrently lifts 6-5 on the Latin Airplay tally, which reflects play at multiple Latin formats.

La Arrolladora’s latest champ follows the act’s first 2021 No. 1, “Mi Primer Derrota,” which led for a week in June. The Sinaloans first reigned with “De Ti Exclusivo” for eight weeks in 2008, seven years after their first entry (“Que Me Vas a Dar,” No. 5 peak, 2001).

The group scored its longest command in 2012 with “Llamada de Mi Ex,” a 19-week leader. Along with Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga’s “Yo Sé Que Te Acordarás” (2000), it marks the third-best rule in the chart’s history, after Palomo’s 31-week domination with “No Me Conoces Aún” (2001-02) and Conjunto Primavera’s “Necesito Decirte” (21 weeks, 1999).
