Laneway Festival Announce 2025 Sideshows

Laneway Festival have announced headlining sideshows for three acts on the undercard of its 2025 line-up: American alternative hip-hop duo Joey Valence & Brae, English neo-soul singer Olivia Dean and American shoegaze trio Julie. All three artists’ sideshow dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can all be found below.

Joey Valence & Brae will tour Australia for the first time as part of Laneway, having released their second studio album No Hands back in June. It served as the follow-up to their 2022 debut Punk Tactics, whose title track served as the duo’s breakthrough single.

Dean and Julia, too, are also making their Australian debuts. Each are touring in support of their debut albums: Messy for Dean, released in 2023, and My Anti-Aircraft Friend for Julie, released back in September. In addition to Australia, Dean will also perform a sole headlining sideshow in New Zealand – heading to Auckland’s Powerstation on Wednesday, February 5th. The announcement of these sideshows comes following Remi Wolf announcing her own shows, who is the only marquee act of the festival who is not exclusive to it. All other headlining acts will only appear at Laneway:  Charli XCX, Clairo, Beabadoobee, Barry Can’t Swim and Bicep.

Olivia Dean

Julie

• Thursday, February 13th – Factory Theatre, Sydney NSW
• Saturday, February 15th – Corner Hotel, Melbourne VIC

A pre-sale for all shows runs from 10am local time on Wednesday, November 13th. General sale then follows on Thursday, November 14th – again at 10am local time. Both sales can be accessed by visiting the official website of the tour promoter for all three acts, Handsome Tours.
