Levitate Announces Artist Lineup for 11th Annual Levitate Music and Arts Festival: Mt. Joy, Lake Street Dive, Sublime and More

Levitate has announced the full artist lineup for its 11th Annual Levitate Music and Arts Festival, set to stage at Marshfield, Mass.’s Marshfield Fairgrounds on July 5-7. The beloved skate and surf shop’s latest presentation will feature 27 acts over three days, led by icons like Mt. Joy, Lake Street Dive and the newly reunited legendary surf-punk outfit Sublime. This event follows an exciting year for Levitate, which celebrated at once the festival’s 10th anniversary and the storefront’s 20th in 2023.

Levitate’s 2024 event will be led by Sublime, composed of original band members bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Gaugh alongside Jakob Nowell, son of the late original frontman Bradley Nowell, who has shared, “It feels like my big crazy family is finally back together and I couldn’t be more happy.” This will be the new band’s first and only live performance in the Northeast, a rare opportunity secured thanks to an inside tip that the massively influential band would reunite. On the occasion, Wilson stated, “This is great because I haven’t had the opportunity to play with Bud Gaugh in over a decade; and to have Brad’s son playing our music is the closest thing possible to playing with my old buddy Brad.” After a surprise debut at a benefit for Bad Brains’ H.R. in December, Sublime’s official inaugural performance will occur at Coachella on April 13.

Beyond the biggest name, Levitate will also feature headline performances from indie folk vanguard Lake Street Dive and alternative-rock quintet Mt. Joy. Other acts on the bill include Tash Sultana, Dirty Heads, Charley Crockett, Cory Wong, Orebolo, Neal Francis, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country and Karina Rykman. Balancing massive touring acts and local favorites, Levitate Music and Arts Festival hosts an eco-driven and family-friendly tribute to the region’s creative and cultural roots, complete with local food vendors and arts experiences.
