LISTEN: RØRY’s Emotional Pop-Punk Belter ‘Uncomplicated’

Your favourite band’s favourite songwriter is here with another absolute cracker.

In case you aren’t familiar, meet RØRY. RØRY is responsible for some of your favourite band’s best songs, working with the likes of You Me At Six, NOAHFINNCE, All-American Rejects and Circa Waves. She also has three top ten hits under her belt as well. 

And her own musical output is also fucking awesome.

She’s just released a new track called ‘Uncomplicated’, that started as a comment on Avril Lavigne’s TikTok and grew into an emotional, sentimental and crushing pop-punk belter. Showing off RØRY’s incredible knack for storytelling, it’s a wonderful offering from a very exciting artist.

This is what she had to say about it:

“The song idea started when I commented on Avril’s TikTok teaser for her new single ‘Bite Me’, and the comment got over 4,000 likes and loads of comments, so I figured I’d turn it into a song. The song then went viral and seemed to really connect with people. It’s about feeling old and lost, and missing the days you were an angsty teen because things were uncomplicated then, even though you didn’t know it.”
