moe. Closes Out Capitol Theatre Run with Friends and Guests

moe.’s guest-heavy run of shows at The Capitol Theatre continued last night with a mix of announced and unannounced guests sitting in for the band’s final night in Port Chester.

Friend of the band, Reid Genauer of Strangefolk and Assembly of Dust, joined moe. for an “All Roads Lead To Home” opener and stuck around for “Akimbo.”

Nate Wilson was also in attendance, sitting in for the entire show. The keyboardist has notably collaborated with moe. on numerous occasions thanks to years with Assembly of Dust and Percy Hall.

The first set also featured an appearance by Chuck Garvey’s nephew, guitarist John Carlo Pecheone during “Zed Nought Z.” Additionally, an old friend of moe., Kirkin Roger, joined in during the band’s performance of “Moth.”

The second set kicked off with “Blue Jeans Pizza” with guest Suke Cerlo, who sat in for the last half of the concert. The guitarist first crossed paths with moe. while playing in Schleigho and continued to collaborate with members of the band in Lynch.

The show concluded with Emma Derhak, moe. bassist/singer Rob’s daughter, joining the band for “Spine of the Dog” as well as an encore performance of “Okayalright.”

Despite being the first set of appearances without Chuck Garvey since the band’s inception in 1989, .moe propped their beloved guitarist’s instrument on stage in a monumental moment for fans and friends. The group has previously performed without guitarist Al Schnier and Rob Derhak, as they have dealt with medical setbacks over the years.
