Monument Of Misanthropy Premieres New Lyric Video For “A Nice Beheading For MoM” – Signs w/ The Flaming Arts Agency

Worldwide booking agency The Flaming Arts Agency welcomes brutal death metal institution Monument Of Misanthropy to its roster. The internationally successful band from Austria has released two studio albums, an EP and a demo to date. The last album “Unterweger” was released in 2021 via the Transcending Obscurity Records label. Their new album “Vile Postmortem Irrumatio” will be released this coming weeks through the same label.

Monument Of Misanthropy has teamed up with Metalundergound.com to exclusively premiere their new lyric video for “A Nice Beheading For MoM “. The clip will go live on YouTube at 10 a.m. EST.

Monument of Misanthropy was originally founded as a solo project by singer Georg Wilfinger (ex-Miasma) in 2010. In 2012, the project evolved into a studio band with drummer Romain Goulon (ex-Necrophagist) and guitarist Jean-Pierre Battesti, releasing the demo “Bandroom Misanthropy”.

The trio then decided to record their debut album “Anger Mismanagement”, which was selfreleased. This happened after a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2014. Due to the level of awareness of the founding members, especially Goulon (whose band Necrophagist was on a hiatus at the time and still is), the teasers for the album found their way into the scene media attention. After the album’s release, the band decided to create a live lineup.

Tours with Suffocation, Vader, Immolation, Cattle Decapitation and Abiotic followed in 2016 and 2017. In 2017 the EP “Capital Punishe”r was released. Another tour with Immolation and Full of Hell followed in 2018 and a performance at the music festival Brutal Assault, which is held annually in August in the Josefov Fortress in Jaromer (Czech Republic). It is considered one of the biggest extreme metal festivals in Europe.

Towards the end of 2019, after another tour with Immolation, a contract for two studio albums was signed with Transcending Obscurity Records, under whose name the current concept album “Unterweger” was released in 2021.

The album, produced by Kristian Kohlmannslehner at his Kohlekeller studios, features guest vocals Sven de Caluwé (Aborted) and Julien Truchan (Benighted). The debut album “Anger Mismanagement” was be re-released on January 23, 2022 by the Brutal Mind label.

In May 2022 the band went on their first UK headlining tour with Visions Of Disfigurement joining them as support act.

In July 2022 Monument of Misanthropy were co-headlining the MYFB-Extreme Fest in Barcelona, co-headlining with the Spanish extreme metal band Wormed.

The following months the band was touring under the “Serial Roadkill Touring” banner, performing dozens of shows all across Europe (Vienna Metal Meeting Festival, Incineration Fest, London) supporting their album “Unterweger”. Monument of Misanthropy are currently working on their 3rd studio album titled “Vile Postmortem Irrumatio”, which will be a concept album about US serial killer Ed Kemper, due out in spring 2024 (via Transcending Obscurity Records).
