Good morning. Here’s all you need to know about what went on in the world of music in the past 24 hours:

Green Day’s officially announced that they have a new album on the way. Saviors is out on Jan. 19 and the band shared the zombie-inspired video for “The American Dream Is Killing Me.”

Guitarist Jeff Schroeder is leaving Smashing Pumpkins.

Future Islands and Chelsea Wolfe also have new albums on the way. At the Drive-In/Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez has a 57-LP box set of his solo material coming out.

The Kills will be hitting the road in 2024. With that announcement, the duo hit the golf course in their new video for “Wasterpiece.” 

Charly Bliss shared a new song titled “I Need a New Boyfriend.”

Massive Attack’s longtime guitarist Angelo Bruschini died after a battle with cancer.

Hozier, Noah Kahan and the Flaming Lips headline the High Water Festival, which takes place in South Carolina next April.

Duran Duran’s new album is out this Friday. For a final preview, the band shared a cover of Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer” with Måneskin’s Victoria De Angelis.

System of a Down’s Serj Tankian is releasing his autobiography in May 2024 through Hachette Books.
