Nilüfer Yanya Launches Second Album ‘PAINLESS’

Nilüfer Yanya will release new album ‘PAINLESS’ on March 4th.

The London artist’s fantastic debut album ‘Miss Universe’ lit up 2019, matching neo-soul to indie rock and countless other musical allusions.

Out on March 4th, ‘PAINLESS’ continues her story with Nilüfer Yanya set to play Hackney Church in East London on November 13th as part of Pitchfork Music Festival.

New single ‘stabilise’ is online now, and its head-long rush into the unknown is the perfect launching pad for her new era.

“I was really thinking about your surroundings and how much they influence or change your perception of things. A lot of the city is just grey and concrete, there’s no escape,” she says.

Nilüfer Yanya’s sister and long-time creative partner Molly Daniel steers the video, which spins her art in a different direction.

The songwriter adds: “The video plays on the central theme in the song of no one coming to save you ever. It’s set in the depths of reality in everyday life where we are the only one’s truly capable of salvaging or losing ourselves. Nothing is out there -both a depressing and reassuring statement (depending on how you look at it). Sometimes you have to dress up as a spy or a rock star and just hope for the best.”
