Oasis seem to be teasing an upcoming announcement of tour dates in Japan and South Korea.

Since they revealed their highly-awaited return to the stage earlier this year, Liam and Noel Gallagher have announced huge stadium gigs in the UK and Ireland, followed by a string of dates in North America. They’ll then return for two extra dates at London’s Wembley Stadium in late September, before heading to Australia for shows in Melbourne and Sydney and then playing further dates in South America.

In September, NME exclusively revealed the band’s planned international dates – most of which have now been confirmed. As well as Australia and South America, the article also listed upcoming appearances in South Korea and Japan, which are yet to be announced.

Now, though, Oasis seem to have confirmed that the Asia dates are on the way. Taking to Instagram today (November 20), the band shared images of two billboards in both countries including the date November 22 – suggesting they’ll be announcing the dates this Friday.

Following the revelation that they’d be returning, Oasis ruled out a headline performance at Glastonbury 2025 and said they won’t be appearing at any other festivals next summer. Liam and Noel have shot down rumours of a return to Knebworth in 2026 too.

The band have announced that Cage The Elephant will be serving as opening support on their North American leg while former Verve frontman and soloist Richard Ashcroft and Cast will be joining the Mancunian icons on their UK and Ireland dates.

Speaking to NME in a new interview, Cast frontman John Power explained: “It’s a stamp of approval from our peers, and I appreciate that massively.”

He added: “Liam, Noel, the band, know that it’s going to be a very positive vibe. There’s no room for negativity, and I already know that for everybody involved. It’s going to be a beautiful thing. All the bands are going to be rolling on seamlessly and it’s going to be electric.”

In other news, Liam recently went back on his claims that the band are currently recording a new album, telling fans “it was a laugh”.

He’d been teasing a potential new LP since September when one fan asked: “Is it true that Oasis will have a new album???” before Liam replied: “Yep it’s already finished.” He also responded to a fan asking if a new record was “in the air”, to which he said, “It’s in the bag mate fuck the air”.

Then, earlier this month, he told fans on Twitter/X that he was “blown away” by the material Noel had written for the record. A comment he made back in April also resurfaced after the comeback announcement, in which he suggested Oasis would be recording a new album in November.

However, he’s since dismissed rumours, saying there’s “no Oasis album in the making,” adding: “I was fucking joking remember them and the reason being because everyone is a little uptight these days I’m sorry if I have upset anyone but fuck me it was a laugh.”
