Pearl Jam tickets

Pearl Jam has announced new US tour dates for 2025 in support of their album Dark Matter. A special ticket club for fans tries to ensure those tickets go to fans instead of bots and resellers, which sell tickets at inflated prices on secondary markets.

The tour kicks off in Hollywood, FL on April 24 & 26 and will wrap with performances in Pittsburgh, PA on May 16 & 18. Supporting acts for the dates will be announced at a future date. Perhaps the most interesting here is an effort from Pearl Jam (yet again) to keep tickets in the hands of fans at reasonable prices.

A Ten Club members-only pre-sale for all dates starts today. Only paid Ten Club members who were active as of yesterday (December 4) are eligible to participate in this special ticket pre-sale. “Pearl Jam strives to protect access to fairly priced tickets by providing the majority of tickets to Ten Club members, making tickets non-transferable as permitted, and selling approximately 10% of tickets through PJ Premium to offset increased costs,” the announcement reads.

Public tickets will be available through an Arist Pre-Sale hosted by Ticketmaster. Fans can sign up for that pre-sale event for up to five concert dates now through Tuesday, December 10 @ 10 AM PT. The pre-sale for public tickets will start on December 13 @ 10 AM local time. All announced tour dates can be found below.

For fans unable to use their purchased tickets, Pearl Jam and Ticketmaster will offer a fan-to-fan face value ticket exchange for every city—starting at a later date. To sell tickets through this exchange, you must have a valid bank account or debit card in the United States. Tickets listed above face value on secondary marketplaces will be canceled.

Pearl Jam says to protect the exchange of tickets between fans, tickets will be mobile only and restricted from transfer. Thus, the legendary alt-rock group keeps its commitment to fans to keep ticket prices fair. The fight has been ongoing—with the band notoriously kicking up a stink about Ticketmaster’s service fees all the way back in 1992.

The group held two concerts in Seattle that were supposed to be ‘free as in beer.’ Ticketmaster tacked on a fee of $1 per ticket sold, which the band said was not what was advertised to fans. Instead, Pearl Jam said it would handle ticketing for those two concerts itself. Later in 1993, the band set a maximum ticket price of $18 for their concerts going forward. Promoters at the time suggested more than $60 per ticket. During that tour, Pearl Jam also reduced the price of their t-shirts.

Trying to combat tacked on ‘service’ fees, Pearl Jam announced in 1994 that the group would only perform at venues that respected their pricing. Tickets were to be sold for the chosen price of $18 with a maximum added fee of $1.80. Pearl Jam butted heads with Ticketmaster here, because service fees ranged between $4 to $8 depending on the market.

Pearl Jam refused to give in to tacking on those extra fees and because Ticketmaster controlled most of the concert venues on the tour, the group canceled their 1994 summer tour. The following year, Pearl Jam’s summer tour stopped only at non-Ticketmaster venues and the band organized the whole thing themselves.
