Port Fairy Folk Festival Adds Svavar Knútur, The Maes, Brian Nankervis + More to 2024 Lineup
The lineup for the 2024 edition of Port Fairy Folk Festival continues to grow. The latest additions include Icelandic singer-songwriter Svavar Knútur, Melbourne folk act The Maes, local singer-songwriter Isabel Rumble and plenty more. Port Fairy was recently named Best Regional Festival at the 2023 Music Victoria Awards.
The new recruits join a lineup that already features Fanny Lumsden, Kate Miller-Heidke, Cool Out Sun, The Merindas, Graham Nash (of Crosby, Stills & Nash fame), Sarah Blasko, and Wergaia and Wemba Wemba songwriter Alice Skye. The festival will take place on Victoria’s south-western coast from Friday, 8th to Monday, 11th March.
Svavar Knútur – ‘November’
RocKwiz’s Brian Nankervis has also been added to the Port Fairy lineup, along with blues and roots crew 19-Twenty, Icecream Hands’ Charles Jenkins, alt-country and blues duo Hussy Hicks, and several others. Find all the details below.
“Port Fairy is a destination for lovers of music and culture that sees musicians from across the globe come together to share their music with our loyal audience over the March long weekend,” said the festival’s program director Justin Rudge.
Rudge continued, “The 2024 event is our 47th festival and features Australian debuts, emerging artists, and international stars covering folk traditions and contemporary culture in music.”
