Post Malone was in Houston for Beyoncé’s halftime show and made someone else’s day. During a visit to The Railyard with Shaboozey, Posty left a $20,000 tip for the bartender.

The Railyard regulars picked up the singer’s tab, but Post Malone requested he be charged a small amount so he could leave a tip for Renee Brown, the bartender. On a receipt for $1.00, Posty dropped $20,000 in a tip. The single mother says she was shocked by the gesture.

“I try to go above and beyond to take care of all of our customers, and loved seeing them interact with Post Malone when he visited—he was so genuine and made everyone feel comfortable,” Brown said in a statement to Houston Culture Map. “His generosity with this life-changing gift blew me away. This definitely wasn’t the Christmas Eve I was expecting, but one I’m forever thankful to have had.”

“We are so grateful for Post Malone’s generosity during his visit,” the Railyard owner Trey Melcher says. “One of the most amazing things about this bar is that you never know who is going to walk through this door. In the past we’ve had visits from celebrities, but this unexpected act of kindness made all of our holiday seasons brighter.”

Post Malone is well-known for his generosity and humanitarian efforts. He has raised money to benefit several charities including raising over $200,000 for Human Rights Watch, Project HOPE, United Way, and The Trevor Project through a series of Twitch streams he did in 2022.

During the pandemic, Posty raised over $4 million for The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund during a Nirvana tribute live stream on YouTube. He also helped Scottish musician Gregor Hunter Coleman pay for part of his deposit on his first home in 2023. Posty’s generosity has been well-documented as the singer likes to give back to fans who recognize him while out and about.
