Post Malone has played over 400 hours of ‘Hunt: Showdown’: “Whenever I’m on the road, I’m missing it”
Post Malone has revealed that he’s spent over 400 hours playing Hunt: Showdown ahead of an upcoming collab with the shooter game.
Released in 2019, Hunt: Showdown is an extraction shooter where players take control of a bounty hunter to take out mythical creatures while avoiding other players. The game has received regular updates since its launch while the recently released 1896 version ushered in a “new era” for Hunt: Showdown.
“In corrupted backwaters lost to history, fight back alone – or with friends – against timeless evil,” reads the official description. “Twisted monsters and other ruthless Hunters stand between you and your Bounty. Risk everything as Hunt consumes you.”
And one person who really loves the game is Post Malone. “It’s the best game,” he said in an interview with developers. “My buddy got me into it. I’ve had the game for the better half of this last year. Whenever I’m on the road and I can’t play, I’m missing it. I’ve probably got 400 hours on it.”
“I love how it’s based and grounded in reality. Very quick time to kill, you can body someone in one shot. The guns are so sick,” he continued. Post then went on to say it took him 50 hours to understand the intricacies of the game. “Once you nail it, you feel so good.”
It comes as Post Malone has teased an upcoming “first-of-its-kind” collab with the game. Details are set to be shared in the coming days but developers have shared ‘The Ballad Of Post Malone’ to give players a taste of what to expect.
Every town he went through, one or two or five of these misfits would just pick up and follow him when he left…

“The circus followed the roads, going wherever he wanted. It got a bit of a rep, too. A little dirty, a little dangerous, and while he’d always come out to sing and make the ladies swoon, in the back alleys behind the tents there’d be darker stuff going on,” reads the end of ‘The Ballad Of Post Malone’.
Post Malone was recently announced as the Sunday night headliner of Coachella 2025 alongside Lady Gaga and Green Day.
Coachella is set to take place from April 11-13 and April 18-20 and will also see performances from Missy Elliott, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, solo performances from BLACKPINK‘s Lisa and Jennie, the original Misfits, The Prodigy, FKA Twigs, Beabadoobee and Clairo.
