Reading & Leeds tease line-up announcement for 2025
Organisers at Reading & Leeds Festivals have confirmed that a new announcement regarding the line-up is on the way.
The 2025 edition of the dual-festivals is set to return next summer, and will run between August 21 and 24. It will be held at Richfield Avenue in Reading, and at Braham Park in Leeds.
Following the 2024 instalment coming to an end back in August, the hype immediately began for the upcoming edition, with early bird tickets for the 2025 event going live on October 1.
Now, organisers have traced the line-up announcement and confirmed that the first wave of artists confirmed will be announced in the next few days.
“Okay, okay you can stop asking… First names for 2025 are dropping THIS WEEK,” the caption on a new Instagram post read. “Keep your eye on our socials, you don’t wanna miss this.”
While no names have been confirmed at time of writing, the post does confirm that some artists will be shared before the end of the week, and that early bird tickets will no longer be on sale from 12pm tomorrow (December 4).

This year’s edition of R&L was headlined by Fred Again.., Lana Del Rey, Liam Gallagher, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Blink-182 and Gerry Cinnamon.
It also saw the inclusion of new stage, the Chevron, which replaced the festivals’ dual main stage format and boasted the world’s first outdoor floating LED video sky canopy. It was created especially to host dance music, pop and hip-hop acts, which included The Prodigy, Sonny Fodera and Skrillex.
In a round-up of the most magical moments from the 2024 edition, NME highlighted Fontaines D.C. as having one of the strongest sets of the event.
“As the band of the moment, Fontaines D.C.’s main stage set always promised to be something special. It came one day after the release of their phenomenal new album ‘Romance’ and had the potential to become their audition for a headline slot in the future,” the review read. “That’s exactly what the Dubliners did, with a set that was flawless from start to end, but was particularly exhilarating in its opening and closing songs.”
Also highlighted were The Prodigy, who were described by NME as “finest purveyors of electronic mayhem”, Kneecap, who put on the “perfect blend of partying and protest in the name of peace”, and Nia Archives, who “ took the energy of the new Chevron stage to a whole new level”.
