Joyce Manor are currently on the road performing their classic 2014 album, Never Hungover Again, in full for its 10th anniversary, and at last night’s (Dec. 5) show at the Hollywood Palladium, they brought out one of their biggest heroes, Mark Hoppus, to sing guest vocals and play bass on a Never Hungover Again song that’s definitely influenced by blink-182, “Heart Tattoo.”

Joyce Manor’s Barry Johnson introduced Hoppus as “one of the finest American songwriters ever” to massive cheers from the crowd. “Don’t cheer!” Hoppus yelled back. “I might fuck it up!” He didn’t, as you can see for yourself in the footage below.

Joyce Manor’s Never Hungover Again tour has support on all dates from the reunited Algernon Cadwallader, plus the Ergs! in Brooklyn (Dec. 8) and Boston (Dec. 9), and Liquid Mike in Chicago (Dec. 11). In March, Joyce Manor will do an Australian tour supporting another blink-182-loving band, the Wonder Years.

Hoppus is also gearing up to release a memoir, Fahrenheit-182, co-written with SELLOUT author Dan Ozzi.
