System of a Down don’t play live much these days, but when they do, they make it count in venues such as San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park and Las Vegas’ massive Sick New World festival. The influential rockers have big plans in store for 2025, when they will play three U.S. stadium shows in late summer with rotating support from Korn, Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones.

The concerts will take place Aug. 28 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., with Korn, Aug. 31 at Soldier Field in Chicago with Avenged Sevenfold and Sept. 3 at Rogers Stadium in Toronto with Deftones. Polyphia and Wisp will perform at all three shows, and tickets go on sale Wednesday (Dec. 11) through Live Nation.

System of a Down has only assembled 10 times since 2019 and hasn’t released an album since 2005’s Mesmerize and Hypnotize. “I’m not just grateful but mind-blown at how much people love the band and the music,” frontman Serj Tankian told SPIN last year. “I can never get over that fact, irrespective of us not touring or putting out records. That’s why I think even if we just do one show and enjoy it with them, it’s really something special to all of us that will never go away.”

In August, the group played to 50,000 people at Golden Gate Park alongside Deftones, who will also tour extensively in 2025, beginning Feb. 25 in Portland, Or.
