Taylor Swift’s Sweet Reaction to Bestie Selena Gomez’s Engagement

Selena Gomez has announced her engagement to multi-platinum music producer Benny Blanco, and her friends and loved ones are showing her much love.

The “Good For You” hitmaker revealed the happy news via Instagram on Wednesday, December 11 by sharing a photo of her hand with the ring finger decorated with a Marquise diamond ring. Several friends and family members commented on the post, and Swift made an offer for their nuptials.

“[Y]es I will be the flower girl,” Swift wrote.

The couple revealed in the photos that Blanco popped the question to the Only Murders in the Building actress over a Taco Bell picnic.

In addition to Swift, Gomez and Blanco’s frequent songwriting collaborator Julia Michaels also sent them well wishes, commenting “So happy for you both.” 

Songwriter Justin Tranter also offered kind words, saying “Congrats to you beautiful stunning perfect people!”

The news even warmed chef Gordon Ramsey’s heart, who sent his benedictions to the “Rare” singer and the Open Wide cookbook author.

“Congratulations to you both,” Ramsey wrote, “it must be the cooking.”

Gomez and Blanco began dating back in July 2023, though they had known each other for almost a decade before as Blanco had co-written and produced some of her singles. The two have spoken highly of each other in interviews and conversations.

This past March, Blanco spoke about his relationship with Gomez in an interview on The Howard Stern Show. During the conversation, Stern told Blanco, “You are some boyfriend, you’re knocking it out the park. I see love here, I’m predicting marriage.” 

Blanco replied, “You and me both,” and noted that he has to “get [his] act together” before sealing the deal.

Needless to say, the soon-to-be-wed couple will surely be surrounded by love on their wedding day.
