For The Disco Biscuits, 2024 was a year of renewal. After 13 long years, the foundational jamtronica quartet launched Revolution in Motion, their first studio album since 2011’s Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens, and with it a tour that matched the new entry’s sprawling operatic sound and saw the band reach new heights of improvisational prowess. In a cover interview for the June issue of Relix, bassist Marc Brownstein shared that the group had cultivated a “bubble of positivity,” allowing them to reach the full extent of their artistic abilities and refine their sound for a new era. “There’s so much positivity within the band, so much positivity with the fans,” he said. “It’s just free-flowing at this point. We’re all in this bubble.”
Today, as they carry that energy into the new year—and usher in their 30th anniversary—The Disco Biscuits have added another leg to the Bubble Tour, with seven new shows on the East Coast from Feb. 26 to March 15.
After their triumphant “Fire & Ice” New Year’s Eve celebration at The Fillmore in their old stomping grounds of Philadelphia, The Disco Biscuits will return to the stage at Seattle’s The Showbox on Jan. 16. This tour kickoff will launch the band into a sprint down the West Coast, including stops in Portland, Ore., Bend, Ore., Chico, Calif., Santa Cruz, Calif. and San Francisco to a return to their regular haunt at Crystal Bay, Nev.’s Crystal Bay Casino Ballroom on Jan. 25 and 26. The quartet will double back to the Golden State with a Jan. 29 show in San Luis Obispo, Calif., followed by dates in Santa Ana, Calif., Los Angeles and San Diego, Calif. through Feb. 1.
The band will build heat in February with a Feb. 2 co-bill show with Lotus in Flagstaff, Ariz., then race through Phoenix and Santa Fe en route to a special TRACTORBEAM show at Boulder, Colo.’s Boulder Theater. A stand at Denver’s Mission Ballroom will conclude the band’s previously announced shows.
The new leg of the Bubble Tour will begin with a performance at Woodstock, N.Y.’s newly renovated and reopened Bearsville Theater on Feb. 26. The jam-fusion innovators will bolt down to Wilkes-Barre, Pa.’s F.M. Kirby Center on the following evening, then head to Huntington, N.Y. for two nights at The Paramount on Feb. 28 and March 1. After a penultimate engagement at Wilmington, Del.’s The Queen on March 13, The Disco Biscuits will finally bring the Bubble Tour to a close with two shows at Sayreville, N.J.’s Starland Ballroom on March 14 and 15.
Tickets for the newly announced dates will become available via an artist presale tomorrow, Jan. 8 at 12 p.m. ET with code BUBBLE25. The presale will continue through Jan. 9, and a general on-sale will follow this Friday, Jan. 10 at 12 p.m. ET. For tickets and more information, visit discobiscuits.com.
