Today, The National announced that they’ll serve as the musical guest for a special episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which will see the return of the show’s former host, David Letterman. The episode will be taped and air next Monday, Nov. 20.

“When David Letterman reaches out to ask if you’ll join him as the musical guest on his first return to The Late Show, there is only one answer… See you on Monday,” the band wrote on Instagram.

The announcement of their appearance with Letterman, who served as Late Show‘s host from Aug. 30, 1993, through May 20, 2015, comes hot off the heels of a new animated video for the title track of their surprise album Laugh Track. Notably, the song features boygenius member Phoebe Bridgers, marking her third collaboration with The National this year. Read more about the new single and watch the video here.
