Zack Feinberg, The Revivalists’ co-founder and lead guitarist, has announced his first solo show on Feb. 17 at Chickie Wah Wah in New Orleans. Feinberg will be joined by special guest singer-songwriter Kristin Diable and accompanied by a backing band composed of bassist Eric Vogel, keyboardist Rob Kellner and drummer David Shirley.

Though Feinberg has not yet released any solo material, this performance presents an opportunity to showcase his voice beyond his 17 years of shaping The Revivalists’ sound. On the upcoming engagement, Feinberg writes: “I’m stepping out of the comfort zone to share and workshop some familiar but mostly unheard songs I’ve gathered over the years.” Feinberg’s decision to begin this new act in his career at a small New Orleans bar recalls the mythical formation of the Revivalists, when he and drummer Andrew Campanelli were introduced by a shared stage at the historic Tipitina’s.

Shortly after Feinberg’s solo debut, the artist will hit the road with The Revivalists for a series of 11 festival appearances, beginning on March 2 at Wagner Park Festival in Aspen, Colo., before Shaky Knees Festival on May 2 and Boston Calling on May 26. The rock and roots ensemble’s latest album, Pour It Out Into The Night, was co-produced by Feinberg and released this past June to widespread acclaim.

Tickets for Zack Feinberg’s performance at Chickie Wah Wah are on sale now. Read on for the artist’s official announcement.
