The Soundcarriers Signal Their Return With ‘Wilds’

It’s a fresh chapter for the psychedelic group…

The Soundcarriers return with new song ‘Wilds’.

The Nottingham group have built an alluring, other-worldly catalogue, taking time to ensure each chapter is perfect.

New album ‘Waves’ will land next year, ending a quiet period from the psychedelic voyagers.

The project is led by bewitching new song ‘Wilds’, which opens with a splash of cymbals before surging into a neat psych-pop template.

A delicious return, ‘Wilds’ builds to a false conclusion, with the band then introducing a potent, incredibly infectious finale.

“We’ve always done things our own way and without any outside pressure,” says Adam Cann of The Soundcarriers. “Making music like this keeps things fresh, you always lose something and gain something as you go along but I think of it as just another chapter.”

Band mate Paul Isherwood explains: “A lot of the tracks started with a feel or groove. Then building it into a more concise arranged piece. We were conscious that we didn’t want the recording to sound too over-polished so although a lot of the tracks were quite painstaking in how they evolved we wanted the actual recording to be quite raw and not be reliant on cutting things up or overly editing things. We wanted it to sound natural rather than perfect.”

Tune in now.
