TikTok’s Global Live Fest kicks off this week in London, with headliner Zara Larsson and host Jason Derulo.

Zara Larsson has been announced as this year’s headliner for TikTok’s second annual Global Live Fest on January 16 in London. Hosted by Jason Derulo, the show will feature several musical performances from artists who have come up on the platform. Larsson, whose song with Clean Bandit, “Symphony,” has generated 800,000 posts on TikTok, will lead the pack.

As its name implies, the event will stream on TikTok Live for fans worldwide, with red carpet coverage hosted by popular creators Sarel and Arnaldo Mangini. Live performances include emerging Mexican artist Anndrea Torres; Fiaa Hamilton, who recently won TikTok’s Most Inspiring Award; and street performer Jourdan Blue, who became a TikTok fan favorite.

“TikTok Live is transforming the way creators connect with their audiences, empowering them to deepen real-time engagement and build meaningful community connections,” said TikTok Live head Adam Wang. “By celebrating the magic of real-time interaction, TikTok Live opens doors for creators to unlock discovery, enhance their reach, and create unforgettable shared moments with fans.”

“Global Live Fest will spotlight the vibrant creativity of our community, where creators can showcase their talents, [and] share their stories and passions in exciting new ways,” Wang continues. “We’re thrilled to celebrate these creators who make TikTok Live the ultimate platform for connection and creativity.”

TikTok, which is owned by China’s ByteDance, is nearing a January 19 deadline by which it must be sold or face a ban in the United States. Creators on the platform are urging fans to find them on other social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram before potentially losing them altogether. Many are downloading their TikTok videos and migrating them to Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.

President-elect Donald Trump — who notably favored a TikTok ban during his first administration — has since flipped on the issue. He urged the Supreme Court last month to intervene and delay the implementation of the ban to give him time to find a “political resolution.” His inauguration takes place on January 20, one day after the ban takes effect.
