Trey Anastasio Confirms Classic TAB North American Tour

Trey Anastasio has confirmed a series of May dates with Classic TAB, the jam bandleader’s intimate touring ensemble composed of founding TAB drummer Russ Lawton, longtime keyboardist Ray Paczkowski and rising star bassist Dezron Douglas. Following shortly after the quartet’s May 5 performance at BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, Calif., this run will feature 11 appearances in the Midwest, Canada, and New York.

The newly announced tour will set off from Chicago’s The Salt Shed on May 9, followed by Midwest appearances in St. Paul, Minn., Madison, Wisc., Royal Oak, Mich. and Cleveland on May 10-15. After a May 17 engagement under the canopy of Wonderland Forest in Lafayette, NY, the band will cross over to Canada for performances at History in Toronto, Ontario and MTELUS in Montreal, Quebec on May 18-19, marking Anastasio’s first Canadian concerts since TAB’s performance at Harvest Music Festival on Sept. 13.

Finally, TAB’s newly announced dates will conclude with a three-night run at Brooklyn Steel on May 21-23. These will be the guitarist’s first appearances at Brooklyn, N.Y.’s storied haven for alternative music. Following the Brooklyn Steel series, Classic TAB will headline the second day of Boston Calling Music Festival on May 25, alongside Tyler Childers, to close out the quartet’s dates for the year.
