Universal Music Publishing Group signs an exclusive global administration deal with British producer, songwriter, and composer Danny L. Harle.

Universal Music Publishing Group, the global publishing division of Universal Music Group, has announced the signing of British producer, songwriter, and composer Danny L. Harle to an exclusive global administration agreement.

A rapidly rising talent, Harle most recently co-wrote and co-produced Dua Lipa’s new hit “Houdini,” her highest debuting single on the Billboard 100. The song reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, No. 2 on UK Singles, No. 11 on the Billboard 100, and over 68 million streams on Spotify.

In 2021, Harle released the high-concept rave album, “Harlecore,” on Diplo’s Mad Decent label. The album features collaborations with Hudson Mohawke, Caroline Polachek, and others, taking place in a virtual multi-room club inhabited by four DJs. His single, “Super Natural,” featured Carly Rae Jepsen, while his single “Broken Flowers” topped the UK Club Chart and was A-listed by BBC Radio 1.

Harle received his first Grammy nomination with long-term collaborator Caroline Polachek on her second album, on which he served as co-executive producer. Besides his established position as a songwriter and producer, Harle is a founding member of the London-based PC Music collective.

“I was, of course, impressed by Jody Gerson’s track record, but only on meeting her, Jenn Knoepfle, and David Gray at Universal Music Publishing was I convinced that I had hit upon that rare thing in the music industry — people who care about music being good as well as successful.”

“Danny is a rare talent who can work across genres, has great musical taste, and has a phenomenal rapport with all the artists that work with him. We are so excited to be part of his continued growth as a producer and an artist,” adds David Gray and Jennifer Knoepfle, UMPG Co-Heads of A&R.

Universal Music Publishing Group represents a global catalog of songs across every genre. Headquartered in Los Angeles, UMPG has 48 offices in 40 countries and represents some of the world’s most prevalent songwriters and catalogs, including Adele, Beach Boys, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Drake, Bob Dylan, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, Pearl Jam, Post Malone, Elvis Presley, Prince, Britney Spears, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and many more.
