Indie rock supergroup boygenius’ incredible 2023 isn’t over quite yet; the trio, comprised of Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus, recently showcased their versatility with a heartfelt rendition of Shania Twain’s 1997 hit, “You’re Still The One” for BBC Radio 1.

In this stripped-back version, Bridgers and Baker skillfully weave their guitar and mandolin melodies, paying homage to the original recording’s distinctive sound. The trio’s arrangement features Bridgers and Dacus taking turns with verses while Baker takes center stage during the poignant final chorus, infusing the timeless track with their unique musical perspective and balanced harmonies.

Boygenius’s journey through this year has been marked by significant milestones, including the release of their highly anticipated debut full-length album, The Record, a resulting massive tour along with seven Grammy Award nominations, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year.
