Watch: Phoebe Bridgers Closes U.S. Tour, Debuts “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America”

Last night, Phoebe Bridgers closed out the last leg of her U.S. tour at Los Angeles’ Greek Theater. The tour which had been moved to outside venues as a COVID-19 safety precaution had gone on from Sept. 3 until Oct. 22.

Bridgers sent out a tweet before the show encouraging fans to come early, she wrote, “Come early tonight. Trust me.” Fans who heeded her call were treated to the debut performance of her 2020 track with 1975 “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America.”

The acoustic duet featured the 1975’s guitar player and frontman Matty Healy. “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America” comes off of the 1975’s Notes From a Conditional Form which was set to be celebrated with a tour on which Bridgers was slated to open but once canceled once the pandemic hit.
