Widespread Panic returned to Milwaukee, WI’s The Riverside Theater for their annual run this weekend. Last night, the group had some Sunday surprises for their fans, dusting off their cover of “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl” for the first time since an August 11, 2022 performance in Atlanta. Though the tune has fallen out of rotation a few times, including for a notable stretch the early 1990s, the blues favorite has been part of Panic’s repertoire since 1987.

Then, after a second set that included an extended run from “Porch Song” into “Arleen” and “Don’t Be Denied,” as well as “Machine” into “Barstools and Dreamers” and “Surprise Valley” into “Jamais Vu,” then back into “Surprise Valley” and “Blue Indian,” Panic offered two distinct encore segments. The first included “Visiting Day” and a seasonal nod, “Halloween Face” and the rare second encore consisted of “There is a Time.”

Widespread Panic will celebrate Halloween in Savannah, GA this Friday and Saturday.
