Wilco Announce Sweet and Sour Spring Tour with Waxahatchee

Wilco have announced the Sweet and Sour Spring 2025 Tour, charting a course across the South as the band’s first US tour dates of the new year. From April 25 to May 17, the 30-year indie rock forerunners will make 17 stops spanning the Southeast. 14 of these engagements will feature support from Waxahatchee, who earned tremendous acclaim last year and a Best Americana Album Grammy nomination for her 2024 album Tigers Blood.

Wilco will set out on their spring tour with an April 25 performance at Fairhope, Ala.’s Halstead Amphitheater; though embarking on the run from Katie Crutchfield’s home state, the series opener will be as “An Evening with Wilco,” one of three shows featuring two Wilco sets separated by a brief intermission in lieu of an opening act. The band will join up with Waxahatchee for a set at Tallahassee, Fla.’s Adderley Amphitheater on April 26, then part ways again for “An Evening with Wilco” at St. Petersburg, Fla.’s Mahaffey Theater on April 27.

Following performances together in Miami and St. Augustine, Fla. on April 29 and 30, Wilco and Waxahatchee will return to Alabama for a stand at Birmingham’s Avondale Brewing Company on May 2. The pair will then race off to New Orleans’ historic Saenger Theatre on May 3 before three nights in the Lone Star State on May 4, 6 and 7. On May 9, the tour will touch down at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tenn., launching a sprint through Atlanta, Chattanooga, Tenn. and three stops in North Carolina from May 10-16. On May 17, Wilco will bring its spring tour to a close with a final solo performance at Louisville, Ky.’s Iroquois Amphitheater.
